I've been looking at that as well. You have to weigh up the total cost though, it needs four new tyres, back box and some work.

It also looks as though it has been stood a while so you might have to put new discs and pads on if they are rusted / pitted.

I guess (as with everything on eBay) it all depends what it goes for.

Biggest problem will be replacing the heater matrix and, depending how long it ran with leaking oil cooler, I would guess a lot of the hoses would need replacing too - not an easy job - and if you can't D.I.Y. I would think quite expensive, others on here may have a better idea. But although it's quite a high mileage (nearly 20k/yr) if it's cheap enough at the end may well be worth buying.

well your best part of £200 for tyres - thats through mytyres

back box and mot - assuming it passes is another £130

Cost of fitting 4 tyres and box if you cant do yourself i another £60

So your £400 plus car cost and recovery cost before you even look at the heater, cover any other mot failures and look at brakes...

oh and assuming its been serviced in accordance with OUR specifications it needs cam belt and tensioners in 7-8k although you should also be considoring doing this and factoring in  ;)

Wouldnt go much more than £400 if that on the auction - decent facelift cdx can be had for just into 4 figures...

ive broken bout 12 in the last year - including 3 right now- so i know that, just taken a 2,5cd oil cooler failure in for £85.

But not into breaking more recent omegas when they can be fixed.

Theres little enough of them left.
