I'm sure that i can't be the only bloke on here who is a stay at home dad. I don't mean out of work or something like that, but looking after the kids full time.
My wifey has a pretty good job and after our second was born we worked out that for both of them to go to nursery full time would cost all my income, meaning that i would be working just for a company Laguna. So not worth it!
So this is how i came to enter the wonderful world of the Omega. Shame i had to sell my ZRX1100 though :-[
Come on, don't be shy - stand up, nappy in hand, and identify yourselves.

I was a stay at home dad until my son started school, he's seven now. I was in the same position. The wife had a good job with prospects, and, after being made redundant, I was in a low paid job.
I took to it like a duck to water and, when Ben started school, I felt like I'd lost a really good friend.
I work mornings now for the sake of my sanity but I would certainly not baulk at doing it again.

Then step forward Mr Bob Dent and get projecting on omegas ;D

I'm not but would love to be. SWMBO is a full time Mum tho'.
Unfortunately, any income that SWMBO may aspire to earning would only be a splash in the ocean WRT to being able to support us all, so we're in a bit of a status quo.
I have to travel a bit with work too, so from time to time I feel a bit like an absent Father but I try not to dwell on it.
I don't mind so much, but I'd love to spend more time with 'Boy' and his soon to appear sibling.

when my lad starts into infant school full time then I plan to go back to work and get a child minder to look after the younger one. Working for a living is so much easier than looking after the kids, but generaly not as much fun though :)

No, but quite fancy shipping the omega out to Thailand, leaving UK and letting the wife work out there to earn the dosh, so i can cruise Thailand, fishin, climbing, drikin, and enjoyin the SUN, and a wee bit of bulding work in between, to keep me sane.
You never know it just might happen yet ;D

Don't say that too loudly in Thailand, you'll end up with something completely different!
I'm a stay-at-home dad without any kids. Gonna find work out of boredom, but if had kids doubt I would want to work. ::)

How does that work? a stay at home dad without any kids? Am I doing it wrong?

Er, yep I am! My g/f would add childish to the list too ;) When I do have kids they'll have to come up with new psychobabble to describe it. I'm thinking something along the lines of 'biblical proportions' ;) ;D

Yep, I'm a stay at home dad. Well, I do actually work from home doing graphic design, but the wife's got a good job and is out quite a lot (like today, for example - I'm looking after our 2 year old, and took our 5 year old to school this morning). Fortunately, my clients are not too pushy timewise and so I get most of my work done after the kids are in bed. Hence the reason why I am often creeping around this forum late at night....on my own!!
Find it difficult to put in the time on the Omega, though. Got a stack of jobs piling up like oil change, breather cleanse etc.
Main thing about being a dad with an Omega is the fact that one can really appreciate the crisp-bag and biscuit crumb-carrying capacity of the vehicle! Seriously, though, I think the Omega does perform really well as a family car. Loads of room to fit the kids into the child seat/booster seat and the air con, when it's working (!!), is really wothwile. Never thought about A/C when I was single. On warm days it was the norm to drive around with one arm resting on an open window eyeing up the scantily-clad local talent. ;D ;D. Don't do that these days, of course. ;)

You can't beat it for pram / shopping / toy / spare clothes carrying ability. That's why i bought it. I've always liked big cars, and the fact that you can buy an Omega for the same money as an equivilent age escort /vectra makes it such a bargain. Shame it's so thirsty though. Still you've got to love that V6 roar.

I don't plan to have kids till I'm at least 30. Even then I shall be the breadwinner/maker. ;D
