Title: omega help.
Post by: marco24v on 24 September 2011, 17:30:21
Hello all. I've been to see an omega and it was a pleasure to drive. My only issue was that the steering pulled to the left for some odd reason.  The car was nice with full leathers manual and fsh.  Im just a bit worried about the streeing incase it leads to more trouble.  The guy is keen on a swap but it has to be right or a cheap fix
Can anyone help?
cheers marc

the steering components are a bit complex on the omega, and after any worn parts are replaced you need to have a full geometry check which includes checking camber, not just the usual tracking.  :y

may be worth checking the wishbones as they are a common failure on the omega ;)

Thats not too bad. I wish I had someone to take a look so I can determine the extent of the problem. Its not major but an annoyance as I like my cars to go straight lol

I've got a mechanic but hes always busy. I beleive the car is a bargain and has loads of history etc. Just needs a tiny bit of tlc and it will be perfect.

Great result you can't get a cheaper fix than blowing the tyre up :y
