Title: Front crank seal part number
Post by: TheBoy on 28 September 2011, 12:45:17
3.0V6

I'm being thick, can't see it on EPC

Worth changing pulley bolt at same time?

I only have the "Opel"-number for it but you will find it in EPC with this code, I assume 3,0 is the same, in my 2,6 it was 646271 and cost from dealer was 30 EUR  :y

and I re-used the bolt, if memory serves TIS did not mention anything about replacing the bolt..

BTW, how do you edit a reply on this new forum?

Have always replaced the bolt so far per TIS but since it doesnt actually go beyond the yield point it should be OK to re-use. Not been brave enough myself on my or other peoples engines.

Have a couple of used ones in stock if you need one.

Sprocket spacer / seal-runner is OK to re-use, just clean it up and remove any surface marks with wet&dry then put it back in 'backwards' so the new seal runs on an un-worn bit.
