Title: some air filter ??

Okay so Im not really sure whats causing the problem but for some reason air from outside keeps coming in from the air con even when its off no matter what button I push!
Whats annoying is outside odour which makes the whole car smell while its passing from various areas!

Is it some filter that needs to be changed or something else that needs to be fixed ?

Pollen filter? - under scuttle flap right hand side looking from front.

oh okay, so does it matter which side it faces ??
I might have put it in facing the wrong side probably ??
Or is it because it might be worn out ??
