Anything over 22C is hot, over 25C is 'too hot' and anything over 30 should be considered uninhabitable to man.. ;D

just said northolt was hottest place in country at 30 degrees. no wonder i was suffering. mum nearly passed out in tescos but she's ok now. more to follow :y

Went to Spain once. It was 36 in the shade. I got burnt on the first day and spent the rest of the fortnight chasing shade. Crossing the road, to keep out the sun and literally jumping across sun lit areas like a vampire catching fire in daylight. It was hell on earth.
But I must say it's a beautiful evening out there now, just like the med.

Next year I will be facing 45+

Cem, Have you ever seen snow over there? :-\

ps: when you get in car, using air condition is dangerous as you become totally wet when you sit on the chair.. and air condition is useful for becoming sick.. :-\

here is an interesting climate.. summers are hot as a hell (except mountain tops so some people have homes there espacially south region) and winters damn cold.. you can easily see -20 celcius.. during my military service I measured -25.. my citiy has no sea around to make the climate a bit softer.. but seashores north and south and west obviously much better in winters..

if you really consider , there are both cheap (Erciyes,Palandöken both east) and expensive(Kartalkaya, Uludag -west) places that I can recommend.. :y

Good friend of mine is being called back for that, but he is paying the monies to keep service time as short as possible! ;D

How much are lift passes?
My current choice is the French Alps - 3 Valleys which is Meribel, Courchavel & Val Thoren. Costs around £600 for transport, hotel half board, lift pass and a little shuttle bus to the lift. Usually take some spending money too.
Do want to try a new destination, but 3 valleys is so huge, in the 7 days you could never board the same slope twice

unfortunately not cheaper than that.. the most short distance to me is Kartalkaya.. and within 2 days you can easily spend over 150 £ (ski's hired)

only east may be cheaper but too far for you.. :-\

yeah getting there would rank up costs, then hotels. Trouble is the Euro exchange rate is so rubbish :(

For me I think it was Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Went there because my Dad wanted to see London bridge (Don't know why. he's old enough to have seen it for about 20 years when it was in London) ;D.
It was about 120 degrees F. Got out of the car, darted to the shade of a tree, walked about 100 yards to the bridge, by which time I was dripping in sweat.
Took a photo, and back to the car via the ice cream stall. It melted before I could eat it. Lamented the fact that we'd stopped the engine and locked up the (dark blue) car when everyone else had just left theirs with the engine running and air con on. ;D

Albs , if you decide to visit Turkey, Ölüdeniz and Kuşadası must be your choice.. These places are mostly windy and in August not over 38-39 even in day time..my wife and also my father sensitive for hot but in those places they dont have problem.. Only one condition, dont stay under the sun without hat ..
