Hi all,
don't know if there would be any interest in this at all but . . . some of you may know that I run the Essex area Shadows guitar club.
Every year we have a presentation evening where we have a top Shadows tribute band playing for us.
This year we have what are considered to be the UK's premier Shads tribute band "The Rapiers".
Just thought it would be nice to offer 4 free tickets for this event to the forum.
Can only do 4 so it is on a strictly first come first served basis.
Date is Saturday 22nd October here in Southend starting at 8pm. The event is held at a function suite with full bar facilities etc.
So if you fancy giving the Missus a night out with good "live" music from the 60's era 8) 8) 8) PM me ASAP

Would have loved to go but have a prior arrangement. Big fan of the Shadows sound.
Have seen "The Flames" play many times. I believe their Bass player Roger Cover was at one time in the "The Rapiers"
Enjoy the night.

Not everyones cup of tea ,The Shads ,as they're not too fashionable nowadays Richie, bit like owning an Omega really eh? ;) ;)

I don't mi.d them as it happens, was just jesting. i prefer Duane eddy myself. i have a double album in the lot with my johnny cash and don Gibson collection ;) :y

My dad is a big Shadows fan, and having just lost 2 toes in a lawnmower accident ::), might be just what he needs to lift his spirits a little. :y

i actually like guitar music. tried to learn myself yrs ago but didn't quite get the hang of it. have a keyboard at my flat i sort of play now and then. crap at that too.
