Title: Fiat BravA 1.4
Post by: Andy B on 08 March 2008, 10:33:26
Does any one know anything about Fiat cars? Sisiter-in-law's car has just put an amber warning lamp on - engine shaped like ours but no flash or spanner through it - from the hand book it appears to be an emmisions warning. It runs like a bag of spanners on idle but seems to pick up OK when you rev it. Anyone know if you can do a paperclip test on it?
Should she just scrap it before the rust takes hold?  ;D

Is there a decent Brava Owners Forum?
TIA

:o  :o Well the best that the Fiat forum can come with is that the warning lamp is the engine managment light & take it to a Fiat dealer for the codes to be read! WTF That's what I was asking them for advise on. :-?
The OOF could be soooo much simpler if we just said the same to all newbies!  ;D  ;D  ;D

Is there an OBD2 port where you can plug in a code reader and read what is supposedly wrong?. If you have a spare laptop, an interface is not expensive.

Would be interesting if Fiat engines are used in some VX, it would be fun to get TB or Mark to plug in a Tech 2 and see what it said !!!!
