Title: "Possibly" wanted, door, wing, mirror in z20r metallic black.
Post by: feeutfo on 02 October 2011, 19:53:42
Had a shunt, depending how insurance goes I MAY need a drivers side front door, wing, mirror for my face lift Elite in metallic black z20r. Plus maybe front bumper.

Drivers hid head light.

Pass side damage to suspension also. Guessing, as I haven't been able to look yet, track rod and steering assembly may be bent as well. And I suppose potentially font sud frame itself, although I'd be surprised tbh.

Wishbone and shock may also be damaged but they'll be replaced with new.

Re colour coded parts I have had kind offers from members already, thnkyou. But I'm guessing if the correct colour parts can be sourced that may save painting costs as well...?

Anyway, this is very previous as the car won't be assessed until Monday at the earliest anyway, where they may repair it, hopefully. Or write it off in which case I'll need the parts when I buy back the wreck. Just don't know yet.

But mean time, if anyone's prepared to ear mark correct colour  parts if they have them for me, that may help IF I need them. Obviously not expecting them to be reserved for ever
Two sports stars buggered as well. Might be referabablle, we'll see.

As said we do have parts ear marked, just not the right colour, but we'll do best we can if the time comes.

Thanks to Daz. :-*

Best I can do is and driers door and mirror in jet black off a 3.2 which I wouldn't have thought would be too much of a problem to wash over in metalic black.

Give Steve at Omegaspareparts a call: 07706495877.

He was about to break a black saloon in July when I was collecting parts for mine.

Thanks guys.  :y

Sadly no news yet. They sent the wrong vehicle to pick it up yesterday, so flat bed arrived this morning, and I dropped in to get the news on the way home. No news. They haven't looked at it yet.... Sigh.

useless gits!
Recovery firm at fault I guess. They sent a truck with two wheel cradle to lift the front wheels only. Not realizing it was rwd auto, or that it had a tow bar that would then be two inches off the floor to be towed out of a street with quite severe speed bumps.

Needed a fat bed, which arrived today. Hence out of slot at repairers.
