Hi,
just followed the guide on replacing fuel filter on my petrol estate. However on removal of the hoses on both sides of the filter as well as the clips an orange/yellow o-ring is present as well as a collar (about 5-6mm wide)from both inlet and outlet hoses. Are these part of the hoses and do both hoses need replacing or do they just sit back into the hos on fitment of the new filter?
Any ideas?

Thanks, Hope this worked!!
There is an o-ring but its sitting in the hose connector at the moment ive slaved the new filter in for the time being.
im just not sure if this o-ring and collar are part of the hose connecter.

never seen that ring before, assume it should stay in the pipes.
that filter has been on a while :o

Yeah i know. should have got round to it sooner. :-[
will see if it goes together tomorrow!
Thanks a lot

Ok, looks like the fuel hose connectors are buggered. Does anyone know if you can get new hoses? or are they dealer only?
or can you build them? i.e. 10mm hose plus connectors?
-
they can come out just push it back in when you fit new filter, and change the rubber O-rings :y
