Title: Paperclip test - Code 12 ??

Yesterday, I experienced an intermitent EMC light flashing occasionally when accelerating quickly. (auto/ 2.5 petrol)
The EMC light did not stay on and acceleration seemed to clear itself quite quickly. When I returned home, I did the paperclip test with the engine running and logged codes 12 (3 times) and 19 (3 times).

I assume code is pointing to the crankshaft sensor being the source problem but I do not know what problem is code 12 ??

Could anyone please explain?.

12 is for the start of the code sequence and nothing to worry about ;)

Am I correct in assuming code 19 will be the Crankshaft sensor needing replaced?

yes 19 is c/shaft sensor. :y

Buy a genuine one from Vauxhall and not a cheap pattern part one ;)
