Title: idler arm removal (LHD)
Post by: spanish_lad on 08 October 2011, 16:56:33
hi there, ive been looking around the forum and ive seen people mentioning the "two hammer" thing? how does that work? theres hardly space to get one hammer in there ? let alone give it a decent whack :(

our leftie failed its ITV (MOT) on this, so im trying to change it but the bugger wont even move off the balljoint? :(

anyone got any clues / hints / tips for me ?

ive sprayed wd in there, ive tried hitting it, ive tried prising it up. whats the next step?

nevermind.. a combination of "smashing the granny out of it" and pressure with a long crow bar did indeed pop it off.

what pig of a job if you arnīt expecting it.

mr haynes only has 5 steps, and 3 of those are how to put it back on  ;D ;D
