Title: Promotion time
Post by: Omega_Dan on 08 October 2011, 20:34:29
After Losing my job 18 months ago i have being doing various things but for the last 7 Months i have been a Car Valeter at a main Dealership. I was a supervisor but i basically valeted cars and looked after the 4 other guys there. I applied for an Area Manager job for the same company in June but i lost out to another candidate. The Job involves looking after 15 dealerships with 120 contractors (all self employed valeters) Recruiting, Wages, Audits, Ordering Chemicals, Various Paperwork, Dismissing, Site Checks ect in the Staffordshire and Cherise area.

Well i had a call last week to say the Area Manager had left without notice and i was invited for an interview on Monday. Interview went well and at 4pm the same day i got offered the job! :)
I was well chuffed.

Collected my 11 plate company car on thursday (albeit with 16000 miles on it!) A golf 1.6TDI Bluemotion SE. Very nice car to drive about in, lots of spec and easily 60mpg without thinking about it.

Parked the mig up on thursday also and its probably going to stay there until the MOT is due in December bar the odd run. Ive Put 8000 Miles on it since March Driving From Dudley to stoke and want to keep it as a low mileage car (currently on 49700). By the way for an 11 year old car it didnt miss a beat.

Loving the new role and being back in a position of responsibility.  :y

Nice one Dan, I'd get out in the Omega a bit more regularly though, don't want it to seize up, after all  :y
