Hi all,
Remember me, Dave C.... ? Hope, all's well with you all :y
Well, my 18 year old has only gone and bought a VX Corsa 1.2 16v for his first car < 50k miles ??? Just kidding!
Bl00dy heck over THREE GRAND for his insurance :o
Anyway, he's had a spare key with it and the seller says it's not been programmed to the car, yet it starts / runs ok :-\
Can anyone confirm that it'll not cut out after a few miles or something silly like eject him into oblivion!
DC xx

I went to see how much it was for spare key said £40 for key £90 for key with buttons, key £40 was just key with chip code, said they dont just do key have to do the coded key. so think he means chip in un-cut key.

Hiya Dave good to see you again, family all ok?
It sounds like the key is ok to me..
Dont know the age of the corsa, or key type to be able to check further, but if it starts and runs for a few minutes, thats more than long enough for an immobiliser to be unhappy. I presume the test was done with the known good key well away from the car?

What he said ^^^^ :D
I expect the £40 was for a non remote type key, which are fine... He just has to unlock the car manually and the alarm (if it has one) will possibly go off until the ignition is turned on
