Title: Which Mig
Post by: tooleater on 13 October 2011, 20:29:30
Dropped into the local stealers today, but the guy in Parts was very helpful ;).was trying 2 find out whether the recently aquired full set of springs, purchased from another member,no names mentioned where indeed off a late Model Mv6 3000ltr. Seems not  >:( >:(....
Vx says no colour codes or etched Nos on front springs but should have etched Nos on rear which should read LU or LW. Mine Read LP :'(   Any you guys know what these are off :y
Cheers John.. PS Mig is 3ltr man

Afaik MV6 springs should be shorter than standard, so you should be able to compare the front springs you took off with the ones you have now, which might give a clue ?
As said though,if it turns out that they arent as described, contact the seller. It may be a genuine error etc - no way of us knowing of course. If they are the wrong springs, personally I would expect a refund ,but having said that its not really any of my business.
All I will say is that I have had two problems in recent months with Omega electrical items I have sold.In both cases I judged that there was a genuine problem and the seller wasnt trying to pull a fast one,so gave them both a full refund including postage costs where they were incurred.you win some, you lose some ;)

Fair comment ;) but, I wouldn't do that to any member mate and in all honesty he didn't appear to be in the best of health, will just chalk it up 2 experience

i would add that original Lowered chassis MV6 springs are F***ing expensive new from a dealer, even with discounts applied .... and they appear to be NLS, so have to come from germany....

There's a possibility the springs were off a late 3.0 MV6 but that doesn't mean that the springs are genuine MV6, they may have been replaced before hand with the incorrect ones. As everyone has mentioned, get in touch with the seller, it may have been a genuine mistake ;)
