Have a look here:

http://theboy.omegaowners.com/tech2/prices.shtml (http://theboy.omegaowners.com/tech2/prices.shtml)

Looks as if TheBoy (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=3) and Kevin Wood (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=721) are nearest but both 150 miles or so.  Shame the Newent meet is over.

You'll be talking  a 4 figure sum for a proper Tech 2, though, which is what you need if the ABS ECU needs configuring.

Is the speedo working? It's not uncommon for ABS ECUs to fail completely whereby they give no speedo output and also refuse to talk via the diagnostic interface - as I guess you've found if you've swapped one. :(

They can be refurbed for reasonable money.

update for you all,as an afterthought went to a differant local garage today,he said we will at least give it a go for you,if we cant get into the ecu to read it,no charge,
left it with him for an hour,on return job done light out speedo workin all good, when enquiring what the problem was,
he said reader was showing no power to the unit,
yes you guessed it,   FUSE BLOWN,
but he did say he had never seen an abs fuse blown before and the old unit might of been knackered hence fuse blowing,
gave him £45.00 and left very happy,
just the m.o.t on tuesday now and i have a nice facelift for about £600.00,
thanks to twiglet for the new ecu,
happy days
