Hi everyone, well those nasty little gremlins did what they do best again yesterday afternoon, spoiled a weekend vanning by disintergrating the aux tensioning ilder and the belt.
Not the best thing that can happen to you, with a caravan on the back of the car. Anyway called the AA,arrived within 45 mins, great bloke explained everything, had a spare pulley in the van (of a merc) salvaged what was left of the belt, refitted it,and followed me home. Can't fault the sevice, now it's goin to cost a few bucks to get it sorted proper, any hints on what to do and what to avoid, and how to kill the gremlins.
Alfie.

You can buy the pulley on its own for around £20 from dealer (although they may try to sell you entire tensioner at £50). Probably worth replacing aux belt as well.
