Thinking about a potential project... any ideas what is a reasonable offer to make for this?
Seller wants £1300 which I think is a bit steep considering it's a non runner, and I'm thinking about making him a counter offer.
Might just watch the bidding, though... I rekon if it stays under £650 it's worth having.. on the basis of the low miles.
This was listed twice before, 1st time the sellers account was hacked and hence the link was dodgey, 2nd time the buyer didn't read the bit in the description about the oil cooler failure!

The value of all large cars ( except dervs and lpg ) are taking a real battering, even Omegas. For a tenner nowadays you don't even get 2 gallons/9 litres of fuel. As a 9 year old non runner, which may be hiding nasty engine knocks, and with a fuel consumption of 20/23mpg in my opinion the car is worth £500/600 maximum. These pair of pumpkins are in the motor trade and seem to know all about the oil cooler failure, why don't they have it fixed? They would get their asking price if it ran properly.

Yes is it is, they have the photos taken in the same place as the other seller.
Different account name.
My advice avoid!

Why would anyone bid on that old bag of nails with problems like that when they can bid on mine? And if it reaches £1600 i will put a ticket on it myself x x

I have watched these people for 12 months and more and they have changed their name several times and never gave me a sensible explanation when I asked why.
It is easy to condemn them out of hand, but if you can go back you'll find their feedback was very good for a long time. It seems to be only recently that neg. feedback has been cropping up as a consideration, and I wonder whether the personnel have changed for the worse. I can't believe that they could have chalked up a good feedback record if too many of their deals were really suspect.
To be fair to them, they have always given full details of faults on their vehicles, despite all the flowery superlatives, and have always urged buyers to view first. They have always sold their cars 'as seen'. It seems to me that if James was to look at this car he would soon suss out its true worth or otherwise, and the price he would have to pay is decided by the bidding, whether it is genuine or not. But as already said, this vehicle has been listed several times before. Why hasn't it sold? I'm sure other enthusiasts must have taken a peek.
I have said in an earlier thread on this dealer that if I was closer I would definitely take a look out of interest, but then I don't have James' expertise so it would probably tell me too little to make a valued judgement. :-[
