Title: Dash illumination

Is there two different 'wattage' dash illumination type lamps?

I replaced all my dash backlights a few weeks back (I don't use the Omega enough  :( to notice) and I'm sure that they are brighter than they should be. I fully appreciate that they could seem brighter than they should because it took me till the last lamp blew before I realised any had blown  ::) ::) ::)

That capless type is available in many wattages.

However, I seem to recollect that Omega ones are 2w

2 or 3W. have you put 5W 501`s in?

I'm not sure what's in at the moment. I took an old bulb to the dealer, told him what it was for & he gave me the 3 or 4 that I asked for.
Jamie .... you're not suggesting that I'd be able to read the rating of the 'bulb' (assuming it's shown) while in the dealers?  ::)  ;D ;D
