Based on Vectra C. Thus awful.

If you want one, get a 1.8 petrol or 2.0DTi. Anything else is too powerful for the chassis.

(engines stated are for Vectra, all Signum engines are too powerful for the awful chassis)

There is nothing fun with trying to lay down more than 100bhp on that god awful Vectra-C chassis.

Ol' boy, are you in for a surprise.  The turbo provides slightly less power than the 3.2 plod, but on that chassis, it will feel like a million times more power ;D

I am assuming that is because of the way the power is put down, turbo being a sudden boost...... :-\ :-\

No, its just a really bad chassis. Christ only knows what GM were thinking.

Bloody hell Jay!  Thought it was a co-incidence - been noseying on t'ebay and saw an ex-plod Mig for sale in Wigan that was a dead-ringer for OAB...

Messaged the seller, cos the wife wants summut bigger and rid of her Puma, and I thought getting OAB back would be ideal!

But it seems all ain't well with the ol' girl  :'(  :'(

How bad is it??  Is it fix-able?  And when you say chassis leg, do you mean the wishbone, or the actual full chassis leg that means an engine-out replacement??

I had a 2.2 Signum for a while and quite liked it. They have a history of dodgy fuel regulators and high pressure fuel pumps going but this should only be the earler ones, 04 on should be fine. Not heard of a cracked chassis before on a Mig :(

fear not as the chassis is not as bad as TB states and is certainly not worst in class by any stretch

my experiance of vectra ownership was...turn the wheel to go right and go straigh ahead.
enter corner slower and try to exit faster(but go straight ahead.
try to go round any corner...and go straight ahead

We have had great experience with my wife's Signum (4 years old from almost new with 2000 miles on clock - now done 60000 miles). We don't drive like TB though.

Only problem has been dual mass flywheel - a particular problem on the 1.9 diesel
