Title: Gayphone/pad Users
Post by: Lazydocker on 19 October 2011, 16:41:12
Anyone else upgraded to iOS 5? I've found a huge improvement to battery life as a result, even though it pings the GPS constantly ??? :y

Mine goes on charge every night too but I don't need to top it up during the day any more (if I'm using it heavily) :y

It doesn't need charging every night, but doing so means it'll never go flat when I need it most ;) I've put every phone I've had for the last .. well, ever, on charge every night (well, every night that I'm at home, anyway)..

Apparently it's also not good to let LiOn batteries drain down to <20%, although the iPhone/Pad/etc and I presume other current gen phones use LiPolymer, and I'm not sure the same applies.. but I do it anyway  ;D :y

There was more of a reason when I had the BlackBerry - plugging it in put it into "bedside mode" which turned off the vibrate & ring functions so it was totally silent at night, even if work were emailing/txting/etcing me.. I miss that feature!

Nope, sticking with iOS4 until they get the bugs out of 5.  Whilst it does what I need, no point risking it into not doing what I need :y

Must admit... I think iOS 5 is a bit resource hungry... Have noticed a couple of things that are a little slower than they used to be :-\

Mind you, I need to book myself a Genius Bar appointment because I think there's an issue with mine somewhere :-\ :-\

Nope, as the iphone is jail broken i'll loose certain nav apps if i upgrade.

Might do the ipad though, as it has a crash habbit after every 3 weeks or so, which only resetting factory settings will fix. Genious bar didnt help.
