Yes i'm afraid to say the MV6 has left my ownership :'(
I sold her today for £900, which sounds like tuppence but in reality i think i did fairly well. If i had put her on fleebay i imagine i would have only got about £600-£700 for her....
So on to pastures new for me, but i'll still be around and try to help people out when they've got problems :)
Day off work for me tomorrow and a day of car shopping! Should be interesting :-/
PS, the bloody EM light flickered on a couple of times today and that was a contributing factor in making me decide i've had enough of fixing her! ;D

what u going to get?
-
Dont sound too bad m8 and long as your happy with what you got :y
-
Sad to hear it's gone, but glad you'll stick around.
By the way; did you pass on this web site to the new owner? :y
-
Glad your sticking around Tezray, I take it you didn't go for the MR2 then
-
Sounds like you got a good price.
Good luck with whatever you get next Tez.
-
Yes i passed on the website :y lol
The thing i thought was funny was the guy he bought along to 'examine' the omega was a mechanic (wearing his overalls!) and thought he knew his stuff.....He didn't even look at the bloody oil!!! He was too busy testing the windscreen wipers and lights! ;D He obviously knew franky break all lol
No the mr2 didn't happen, the last i heard was that it was getting hotter than it should and the guy 'didn't want to sell me a shitter' so it didn't happen. Shame really because it did look nice.
I'm looking at a bug eye shape Celica GT tomorrow, sounds quite good and he's only asking £1300. It has done 130K but it's just had a new clutch, not sure if the head gaskets ever been done though, i'll have to ask.
Thought it'd be good to stick around, share my wealth of knowledge ;D Who knows anyway, i might end up with another one of the bloody things somewhere down the line!

And there was me thinking that theere are just 3 places in Southmead - the hospital. the police station and the fire station. Everybody else seems to live in Westbury on Trym, Brentry and anywere but. 8-)

Hello,
Technically, I spose you could say I live in Brentry, Southmead seems to be one of those boroughs that has diluted into Brenty and Westbury on Trym, at least I don't live in either Hartcliffe (locally pronounced by the locals as 'artcluffe') or Knowle West (locally pronounced by the locals as Knowle West init me babber, etc etc) :).

There was a time when we had quite a Bristol contingent, but now I think the centre of gravity is around Nottingham/Derby.

James and his shiney cars :D And you jungle omega is looking even shinier lately with the help of those rust free doors :)
HOWEVER, i think you'll find Knowle west is pronounced locally as, knowle west mmeeeeeeaaaaaeeeaaaeeeaeaaeeeattttt ;)
Looking at an mr2 on friday, sounds like a winner. Only done 70K, T-bar, MOT'd until Aug 2007, dark blue, lady owner (young and attractive lesbian!! :o) and only 3 previous.....All for the princeley sum of £1200 :)
I've looked at one mr2 and one celica so far, both not quite right and something seemed dodgy about both of them :-?
-
Young and attractive lesbican eh? Make sure you get some photos of her with the vehicle.
Don't forget Lawrence Weston, or eaaarrre, Larrwence Weston init meeaaatttttteeee

Didn't you know that 'Artcliff is now refered to as "Lower Dundry"
-
Actually I live in the valley the other side of Dundry and sometimes at night i look up at the top of the hill expecting to see the 'Cliffers rampaging over the top loike some thing out of of a Gengis Khan film.
(followed by the 'Westers who have come to loot pillage and generally have their wicked way with the anything the 'Cliffers have left behind)

Lower Dundry!!! that really does amuse me no end :).
I sometimes go that way, up and over and down to Chew Magna, when visiting my Parents in Glastonbury. Nice little drive out.
