Has anyone tried one of those "no water" products like 'Body Shield Pro' or 'Mantis Instant Shine'?  I've seen the infomercials, but frankly I wouldn't want to use one of these to clean a dirty car. Firstly I'd be concerned about potentially scratching the surface with a rogue spec of grit (despite what they say) and secondly for the price of a bottle it wouldn't last long!
I was thinking of using this after washing the dirt from the car and after the watermarks had dried. Less hassle perhaps than a chammy followed by a layer of polish??...
Anyone tried it?

Never used it but seen it used. Works well on a mildly dirty surface and gives a nice shine

Oh... And I wouldn't use it on a dirty car either ;)

I've used Showroom Shine for many years on the cars and caravan. Very good stuff-I was sceptical before using it-but it does give a very good shine and is quick to use.

I would certainly agree with both of those statements. :y
I have found the products good for maintaining an easy shine on the paint - after I wash the car. ;D

Well, nothing really ... but living in a hard water area the water marks on my car are very noticeable.
Just popped out to Halfords and bought some  Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax (£9.99) ... given the car a complete coat including windows inside and out in about 20 minutes.  It has a very fine mist and I used very little spray to cover.  No watermarks, nice shiny finish. No more chammying for me! :y

I'm dubious but open minded. A friends brother is about to start up self employed valeting your car at work/home etc using such products & has researched carefully.
Even if you can not scratch the paint i still reckon a good wash with a proper car shampoo removes road dirt/salt etc before polishing.
