Hi Guys,
After the Essex meet 2 weeks ago I've replaced the exhaust and I was about to start on the sparks. I've got a new dis pack as well as advised and I had taken the plenum off. When I took the first lead out of the left bank (135) I noticed it had it's own personal supply of chocolate sauce, and the same for the other two leads. I thought it best to not use my car until I got a set of gaskets through (today). The right hand bank seems okay but I got two sets of gaskets anyway, I figure I might as well replace both sides.
I've looked on the forum and it says use a turkey baster, lots of kitchen roll, and be careful of the cover as it could be brittle due to age. Is there a best way/order to do things and is there anything in particular to be aware of? Also the 4 pipes on top of the plenum have clips on the outer two. Do these need to have the clips on them?
Regards
J

Don't worry about the clips. They need special pliers. They will stay on, they run on vacume anyway.
Rest as the guide. Make sure you use the correct goo though.

I stuck a cable tie around the vacuum pipes on mine - been a tried & tested way of securing vacuum & small boost reference hoses for years ;)
