i put the bottom of my hand across the blade yrs ago not using the guard . I've scars everywhere on my hands. even put a 12mm chisel through my knuckle when i slipped off the wood. that is very impressive. bit late now though. patience and safety goes a long way

I am still cringing from the moment he stuck his finger in....... ::) ::)

the sausage brought tears to my eyes ;D

mind you its a bit expensive if your going to cut up your sausages on everytime the safety feature kicks in you bugger up a blade and the device seems expensive and its not like your going to see if it works on yor finger :o :o

Had a look earlier, how does it distinguishe between wood and other object?
-
They pass a signal through the blade and look for a return path via the operator.
Hence wood which is dry is fine, a damp sausage or carrot which has a high water content or his finger (I suspect thats why he wet it or it would probably need to break the skin a bit) causes the signal to pass and fires the pyro in the blade break assembly.

If the blade could be made to withdraw under the table that quick, rather than jamming the blade, would it not save the saw and machinery as well...?
-
But yes, impressive. :y

but can you cut pallets up with it ;D ;D
