Title: Stupid Omega!
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 30 October 2011, 21:53:27
Went to use the 3.2 this afternoon: turning over but won't fire.

Posting in gen chat, as I think it's human error: no petrol!!

Range indicates 12 miles, but reckon it's lying!

what tools am I blaming? I think you'll see my first post openly held up hands to 'human error'....  ;)

I have been looking at the red light for a while thinking 'must get some'... But it wasnt flashing yet!

Maybe the 2 mile walk with a jerry can will teach me to fill up sooner!!!!

Was it lack of petrol or was it something far worse than  that turned it  into a non starter   ??? ???

The Omega goes to 1/4 - red but I'll run the Astra to 470 miles on the tank which will take it to the wrong side of the red sometimes .................  ::) ::) ::) but then they both get topped right up.

Why not force start on LPG and drive to station? ::)

One thing I need to take note with the 3.2, is when that fuel light on it really does need fuel  ;D

Does that mean that 2.5s are more intelligent?  Mine did 10 miles on petrol with Zero Range last week before I bottled it and put a squirt in ;D

My MV6 has done 18m down the M40 after it started reading 0m range ::)

Bloody thing still only took 73l (my record)...  ...another 10m in that ;D

I certainly wouldn't be trusting the "Range" display if it'd been running on LPG. That can throw it wildly out. ;)

Had zero range on either fuel today , Mrs was cacking herself. Filled up the gas and it took 69 litres, guess there was 3-4 left in it!
