Blackberrys are crap anyway.... crap usability, left over from BES days. Only reason people really use them now is the Blackberry Messenger

The Gooseberry has no useful purpose outside of a corporate environment.  Its a really poor setup with multiple SPOF, and networks should be actively looking at getting rid of them for non business customers. But greed prevents that.

Why the hell consumers don't migrate to proper smartphones, running off the standard infrastructures, I'll never know.

My bro was daft enough to have a Gooseberry, as Vodafone 100% promised him he could have his email on it with no extra charges.  I said he couldn't, but he believed Vodafone.  By the time we proved to Vodafone, with RIM's help, that he couldn't, the 14 day period had passed.  I think he smashed the Gooseberry (shite handset), went back to his Nokia until the contract was up, told Voda and RIM what he thought, and bought an Orange gayPhone. Which just works. And does email. Unlike the Gooseberry in both respects.

And to be honest, now MS and Apple (wakey wakey time Google ;)) are starting to bring out some useful preprovisioning software, even in a corporate environment, Gooseberry is sinking like a stone. Hence RIM advertising so heavily. They know their days are numbered unless they junk BBM and BES, and bring out a standard smartphone...
