Title: New addition coming
Post by: omegod on 02 November 2011, 19:48:15
Finally took the plunge and choose a rescue dog from the local dogs trust, 1 yr old black cross breed and she is gorgeous!! . Been trying for a kid for years and after many tragedies and dissapointments decided to get the next best thing. Daughter has met it but only thinks we are going to sponsor it so will be a bit surprised when we leave with it on Sat :).

I can't wait as last doggy went upstairs years ago, got a home inspection on friday and should have her hoe on Sat morning, they want her home for bonfire night as they get terrified in the kennels. Currently getting harrased by a bloody big lurcher in the same cage but can stand up for herself :y

It's a killer seeing all the unwanted ones, Mr Jones a 13 yr old staff that just looks so tired,a big fat Rotty that been there since 2008 and noone wants. They even put little suitcases outside the pens with blankets and brushes to reel you in :( :'(

This one is a stray that the RSPCA picked up and nobody claimed, they have a 7 day policy then euthanaise them, dogs trust take as many as they can. Seems very placid/calm and has been trained to an extent, sits, begs etc

Plenty of pics when she is home.

Good on you mate, there's too many of the poor buggers left to roam the streets until picked up & then put to sleep or badly used  :y

This spirited little chap arrived here at the beginning of August from Markseth's elderly parents, who were finding him a bit of a handful:

We're told that 3 year-old Casper is actually a Parson Russell terrier, and has settled-in extremely well.
Loves caravanning and the grand-children too!

yes well done - my daughter is on her second Battersea sourced greyhound (and they have the tougest of lives) . I am very proud of her that a dog who had known nothing only racing has been given a long and happy retirement (think he is now 12 and she got him in 2005).
