Is 25-30k a reasonable mileage out of the front tyres? is inside scuffing quite normal on the Omega? :-\

Inside wear is usually down to failed wishbone bushes and / or incorrect camber setting.

There's a ton of posts on these subjects if you use the search function  :)

No, get the problem rectified, either by set up, replacing worn parts, or both. THEN get new tyres.

Odds are wishbone bushes are shot...?  And hence camber excessive...?

Old suspension sags, which also increases camber.

...and beware, needs full geometric set up with -1.10 camber setting on the front.

How many miles on the vehicle? My wishbones were shot at 90,000, but can well be knacked earlier.

You've done very well not to have failed an MOT on the wishbones by now. :y
