Sometimes the best way to deal with such circumstances is to choose a piece like this one, sit back, close your eyes, turn up the volume and let the vibrations of this great piece clear the blue – right out of you. 8)

That's - on the face of it - so blue it's almost black but is also, unarguably, a great song from an artist who actually did 'walk the walk'. 8) :y

I think it's a song of redemption through the realisation of how one's past behaviour can be recognised, acknowledged and used to help oneself cope in the here and now to a point of where one can face up to, and answer for, all those misdeeds - within oneself more than anything.

That’s my fault for gibbering too much,  :-[ in short - try to make yourself a better person by recognising and acknowledging what you've done in the past (bad things in this instance), in the hope that you'll not repeat mistakes made.

It's just as important to do this for your own sake - as well as that of any others you may have hurt along the way.

I'm fairly sure that's what the song was originally written about, although the album it's originally from "The Downward Spiral" (Nine Inch Nails) is an album almost entirely about depression leading to suicide.. Indeed if you look at the NIN albums around that time you have Broken followed by The Downward Spiral and finally The Fragile - a sort of inverse bell curve of emotional state, I think.

Anyhoo.. it was rather a dark choice on my part.

Dark is what the Man in Black was all about at one time – he did that very well Aa.

In any case, we need the dark from time to time to remind us how much more beneficial and rewarding dwelling in the light is.
