Try the train up to Pingsi in the mountains outside Taipei, Taiwan, when it's the Chinese New Year lantern festival.. I've not been that intimate with people outside of the bedroom before ;D ;D (Thankfully one of them was my then girlfriend!)
The MRT (regular underground) wasn't much better at rush hour, mind. And nobody there seems to wear deodorant .. thankfully the entire rail network is air conditioned!
Tokyo wasn't too bad though, I concur - not much worse than London at rush hour, really. Just more polite and orderly ;)

;D Those are neat :)
I must get back to Tokyo at some point - I only spent a week there, so there is definitely a lot more to see.

I spent just over a week there, with a few days in Kyoto. Fantastic food and country, love to go back at some point.
I spotted some interesting style of petrol stations:

Although I think I took that in Kyoto

Trust you to lower the tone guy ;D

It made me chuckle to find an Austin Princess being polished to a shine at a petrol station just by Tokyo Tower:

And not far from that, a Riley Elf - I've never even seen one of those in this country! ;D
Great place though - I stayed in Shinjuku not far from the red light district, ate in a little cafe most nights where the only nod to foreigners is a menu consisting of pictures (you can't tell what the pictures are of .. but you can point and order ;D), and tried to fit in a different area every day.. I'm sure I could spend months there and not see it all - and I'd love to go see Kyoto, too.

It wasn't quite as well loved as the Princess, I suspect..
