Title: brake pad warning

brake pad warning on the car computer wont go out
tried connecting the wires that go to the brake pads together
brake pads are new

what age is the car? Up until mid 2001 ish there was a brake sensor cable each side

there are two, each inside wheel arch. The loom connector is clipped to the back of the wheel arch, it runs around the behind the shock/drop link and into the brake caliper.

There is a white plastic/metal connector which usually clips into the top of the pad.

Either fit new sensors, or cut off the cable a distance from the loom connector & fuse them by joining the two cables, cover in heat shrink and seal  :y

the question is ---- if you dont know where the brake sensor is what two wires have you connected together ???  :-\ :-\ :-\
