In the light of what appears to be happening on a regular basis I am considering buying a code reader which could also reset the engine management light.

Certain auction sites have many on sale for differing amounts.

Bearing in mind as my previous posts have proved that im an indiot.

Could someone advise me on the best one to go for on a limited budget that will work with my specific car

2.6 V6 CDX saloon on an X plate = 2000

A code reader is only useful if you understand what its telling you.  It is only part of the jigsaw.


However, look in FAQ section, many types are covered.
