Title: Plastic side skirt clips
Post by: tunnie on 08 November 2011, 18:56:49
I've got some new clips to go on first, how do these actually attach to the car?  :-\

Some of them are currently broken

ok, figured that out, actually very easy. The end clip though, has a black plastic flap thing, is that supposed to be there or left from previous skirt?

That's from the previous skirt Mark.  All the clips should be the same.  :y

Thought so, but decided to post up before snapping it off.

I'll use a spare clip on it.

Thanks  :y

If you slide the black bit horizontally towards either the front or rear of the car, it should come out easily, leaving the white clip in tact.  :y

All done, this car used to have Irmscher body kit, something was odd it would not come out. Had some spare clips (Thanks Chris!)

So just snapped it off, behind the clip was some gunk, had to get a chisle, wack it and it came off so the clip would sit flush.

All back together now.

Also changed air filter while I was there, couple of nice little jobs sorted  :)

Cheers for the help  :y

Yeah somebody has tried to glue it back together. Glue holding the piece of old side skirt in.

Does that mean mean that someone is going to have a slightly 'flappy' Irmscher side skirt?  :-X

Nah, it's only one lug of two per clip.

Surprised how easy it went on, just lined it up, quick wack, clipped on pushed on further along, then quick wack at each clip point.

Although i am missing the two screws for the end plate  :(

Not screws, those expanding clips. And they were in the holes they go in...
