Hmm. Might have to go there at lunch time. ::)

I need the bottles for my home brew. Won't drink the HobGoblin, honest. ;D

Ooooo, good shout JB.  I will be stocking up this evening me thinks!  :y

Kev, I still have your bottles here and as I have increased my own share of the Hampshire Homebrew bottling collective you can have them back if you need.  How big a batch are you thinking of doing?  I could lend you some of mine if you need.

I have been banned from doing another batch this side of Christmas, so guess what I am doing on Boxing Day?  ::) ::)

It'll only be a 40 pinter and I might well just get another pressure barrel, as it's so much easier. Have to try out my AG setup.  8)

I've asked Father Christmas for a couple of King Kegs, with any luck they'll arrive in time to condition the current Ranger IPA clone  :P

Good stuff... King kegs get mixed opinions but mine has been faultless. The key, as always, is to make sure it's spotlessly clean and all seals have a smear of vaseline on them to keep them gas tight, IMHO.

My next one will be a bottom tap, I think. Top tap is great for dispensing into the glass (although it's always a bit lively, I find) but a bottom tap is also useful for priming a batch before bottling some or all of it.

I've also been wondering about bottling into 2 litre "Growlers". Got one from triple fff for take-outs and it looks ideal.

Well, my runner reports Fleet Morrisons only have 330 ml bottles at a pound a go..  :'(

Ah if it's 330ml then that's no good.  I heard that ASDA were doing some real ale for £1 a bottle (500ml) but I havent checked in on it yet

Yep, he had a good look, but no luck, unfortunately. :'( Thanks for the tip-off, though. :y

He must have found something he liked, though, as apparently his Volvo estate is now well loaded. ;D

Well I got the last box at Southwood, not sure if they are getting anymore in.  However, the venue requires more investigation.  The assistant manageress is very tasty indeed :P

Funny you should say that. You texted me just as my mobile was in my pocket about 3 inches from the credit card terminal, and I think it might have crashed the till. ;D As the assistant manageress was leaning over it, waiting for it to reboot it, I thought to myself... :-X

Sounds like I need to make a detour to Morrisons at Southwood the next time I go to B&Q and Wickes in Farnborough. Just to check out their special offers you understand  :-X
