Title: The Goverment's 'Green Deal'
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 13 November 2011, 19:58:00
Due to be launched Autumn 2012..

I think the last scheme, 'Boiler Scrappage' was a white elephant TBH......costing you more than if you'd got a local plumber in to replace your boiler.....

This scheme......from what i deduce, you can 'borrow' upto 10k for home efficiency......repaid back by  the savings you make on the 'improvements'. This is a bit unclear to me......and correct me if i'm wrong....but i read it as ie .....if your normal gas is £200 and with improvements its now £150.....you still pay £200, but the 'extra' £50 goes to repay the loan.  :-\

It never fails to amaze me how the government can't find the money to run old peoples day centres, librarys, the NHS, or the odd aircraft carrier, but can always find money for green projects...  ::)

10 grand hey? Must get my thinking cap on, it seems at first glance that the repayments will be ridiculously low...  :y
