Title: ABS Light.
Post by: duggs on 15 November 2011, 15:08:30
What does it mean if the ABS light comes on sometimes upon start.

Sometimes it comes on and goes off during the start up check, likes it's supposed too,
sometimes it just stays on...what is it telling us please and/or what is the cause.

HAVE to admit..it's on the wifes Vectra....NOT my faithfull old Omega !

Moving to general car chat as not an Omega

Common causes:

Faulty sensor or wiring/plug

On a Vectar check also the front reluctance rings on the CV joints for damage/cracking (althought this tends to cause the ABS light to come on once moving).
