Title: VW Sharan 1.9TD
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 20 November 2011, 09:41:16
I'm driving about in one at the moment (skudo still not fixed  :( , its at a 'expert in diesels' garage now).....great drive, very impressed with it...despite it being on an 07 plate and covered 210k miles...

But i have a question......apart from water temp and fuel gauge, its got a voltmeter, ok that can be useful......but what i dont see the point of, its also got an oil temp guage....why? It follows the water temp guage at 10C hotter.......so when the water temp is showing 90C (normal operating temp) the oil temp guage is at 100C......carnt see the point of it myself.... :-\

TB would love the blue dash backlighting its got  ;D ;D

Volt meter gauge's are handy things, especially this time of year, guessing the oil temp is there to show whether the oil cooler is doing its job.
