Had a minor 10k service done yesterday and was pleasantly surprised that I was only charged £75.00 [smiley=happy.gif]. I thought this was very reasonable as this included usual stuff such as oil and filter changes, plugs and various checks including gearbox and diff fluid levels.
The only downside was that they said my front shocks need replacing. This confirmed my suspicion that something was not right up front. Can anyone give me any idea of much this is likely to cost?

I'd be surprised if they did more than an oil and oil filter change - plugs and other filters are major service items.
Remember, if the front shocks are changed, it will need camber reset afterwards...

Actually, the last 10k service was a major, and those items were certainly all done then, but you're right, I've just checked my invoice and service items they've charged me for was only engine oil, oil filter, screen wash and another item that I can't read the scawl - looks like br**e cleaner.
Still quite reasonable though.

I'm pretty sure they know this as he mentioned setting up the wheel geometry once the new shocks have been fitted (booked in for next Thusday) but I'll make a point of mentioning it to them.

Shocks are 67.50+ vat retail and 25 squid cheaper trade club.

Thanks for that info. The garage would get the new shocks from one of their own suppliers, but this gives me some indication of what it's gonna cost me.
