..called me on my mobile at 4.40p.m. yesterday, some Asian bloke, stating that I owed them £400, and to avoid legal action etc., Well I told him that I was not owe BG £400 and that it was in fact £140, and that they had made an error yet again. I said it was'nt convenient, he said when I can I call you back I said don't I will call BG back when I get home either tonight or tomorrow, but your wife said you'd be back after 6, I said my wife don't know what I'm doing, I will call you back, and please get your facts right before you call me advising I am owe 3400 when I am not, subsequently I hung up the phone and went and had a pint [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=cheesy.gif]
Anyway got home first thing I did was open a can of Broocie's Tennants Lager :D [smiley=beer.gif], then dug out the BG gas bill, called BG advised them to get it right as after 12 months and speaking to several folk at BG I resolved the £250 credit/debit issue. I said I will only be paying BG £148 and not a penny more, and if they wanted to take legal action fine, as i would then charge them for my time going to court etc.. Bloke said let me just check this out, waited, waited ::). Ok Mr B it is actually £153 with VAT, I paid and advised the rep that as they could'nt sort out a credit I made to BG that was the reason had left them :y :y :D
morale of the story; never credit your gas/leccy account with British gas, and the idiot that called from Asia wanted my wife to pay over the phoen the supposed £400 bucks >:(...anyway thats the end of me and British Gas.....But the Asian guy phoned back at 8p.m. ;D ;D, almost told him to break off, i said the bill was paid at 18.40 p.m. tonight :y, ......he said can I have a contact number >:(, break off you don't need to contact me and the rather idiots already have it >:(. I just hung up the phone :P

mike, how do you think i feel, im an engineer with the company and have to deal with the imbeciles every day -it grindes ya down !!!! ps believe it or not we dont have any call centres in asia !!!! either leicester, birmingham or leeds !!!

If you get behind with BG, sometimes I do cause I refuse to pay because the bills not correct. anyway try and deal with the local BG Rep you get more sense out of him.
The BG collections dept is actauly in India, comes up +0845 on the display, also local Rep comfirmed this.

Amyway job done now :y.and as Zirk has said their debt collections are based in india (they call you)...hence reason I called the call centre here :y......but yes you just can't get the staff these days ;D ;D
