My LG washing machine is leaking because of a duff door seal the cheapest replacement part i can find is £81 plus labour which i find to be a hell of a lot of cash for a door seal and im not willing to pay that for a 5 year old machine
So i have been looking online at buying a replacement and there are alot of decent spec Beko washers to be had for not a lot of money.
I have been reading reviews online and lots of people think Beko are pretty good but i have always thought of them as cheap crap
has anyone here owned any Beko products and have good things to say about them or am i correct in saying that there cheap crap.and you get what you pay for
any input possitive or not would be greatly recieved

door seals are a piece of doddle to fit,why not give it a try, loads of how too on you tube covering many machines,
took me few hours to find one that was in my price bracket and did it myself :y

That will always be the case in life, but Beko have pulled their socks up over the years to the point where their products will actually last for a reasonable time before failure.
Think of them as being a bit like Skoda. Back in the late eighties they were truly god awful and the butt of many jokes, nobody is laughing at them now though.
I have worked on quite a few domestic appliances over the years (I'm a sparks by trade) and I would have no problem in recommending a Beko product. They are still built to a price, but I'd say you'll have no problem getting at least 5 years out of it before you start considering major repairs (eg, drum bearings).
door seals are a piece of doddle to fit,
Unless it's a Zanussi, nothing is easy on those ba$****s >:(
-
as jiffy says not too hard to fit yourself, LG seals on the bay of e are £20-£35 ish depending on serial number.
mostly fitting is only a sort of ring clamp :y
-
And dont forget the beko fridges that catch fire, and it is only when the fire brigade complained that they finally admitted to it. I know they have changed the offending part now but it hardly inspires confidence from me.
-
I have a fridge and washing machine by beko and apart from a circuit board issue on the washing machine after 5 years use they have served me well and it was a cheap easy repair too

Oh, Gawd! You've just reminded me that the bearings on ours are getting noisy again. Had to strip the entire machine down and split the two halves of the drum last time. ::)

We havent got a Beko washing machine but we do have Beko fridge cooker and freezer for the last 10 years without any problems. :y
-
generally export products are built better than whats sold here..
and if the producer wants to sell its product , they must not build crap things..
-
My Beko Fridge-Freezer is now 12 years old & never put a foot wrong! Having said that, wasn't there a recent high profile news story concerning a Beko F/F catching fire resulting in the deaths of several members of a family?, not the first fire with this manufacturers F/F's to be reported either :-\
-
We have a Beko fridge/freezer, it's probably the noisiest in the world. Lots of gurgling and groaning and stuff. . . .or is that me???? ;D No, definatly the fridge/freezer.
Won't buy another.

My Bosch does that (I say 'mine', the previous owners of the house left it) - it makes some of the strangest noises..

Have you checked the previous owner isn't stuffed inside it?, some women get really short tempered with their hubbies when house moving! ;D ;D ;D

The parent company Arçelik is huge in turkey and according to wikipedia sells products in over 100 different countries
20 years ago i bought a Lucky Goldstar tv as a cheapo I never thought it would become the manufacturer if high quality goods that LG now sell, I sort of hoped Beko had gone the same way hence the question of quality and reliability

there is 2 clamps one is easy to remove the other involves removing the top and front of the machine
its too much hassle and although not a difficult job it is for me I walk with 2 elbow crutches now and have limited mobility due to an ongoing spinal problem (long story)
so thats the reason for deciding to junk it and replace it.
