My car failed its mot on the track rod end..took the car to the garage on monday to have the tre done picked it up and workshop dashboard light is on found out that my cruise control is not working..is there any sensors that they might have unplugged ??
-
There is nothing in anyway related to cruise control they could have disturbed. Track rod end does not need the bonnet popped!
"workshop light" do you mean car with spanner through it?
If this was not on when you took it in, take it back and ask them what the FF have you done? Get them to fix it at their cost!
-
yeah thats the light...car with a spanner through it..when i pointed out that the light wasn't on when brought there..there attitude was that it was on when they started it up to bring it into workshop >:(

Very convenient! ::)
What engine is in it? Do paperclip test if you can and get codes read.
Also avoid all future contact with this garage!

Which light is the emissions? Maybe they've caught &/or damaged the lambda sensor :-\ :-\ :-\
-
What about an ABS Sensor?
-
You are wasting your time at these garages.
best if you could do the job yourself
garages try to make a big job out of a small job
Will not wand to no about EML been on

ABS sensor sounds good ..think i'll do a 50mph and stamp on the brakes see if i get a lock up tonight..
-
That won't bring that light on though. Do the pedal test see what codes come up ;)

Paperclip/pedal test is easier :)
