Title: Temperature needle

Hi can you help me with a problem my temperature needle has stop working.the car warms up ok but the needle do's not move could this be that it needs a new temp sender or a blown fuse and where is it on a 2.2 engine hope someone can help thanks?

Hi Paul

On the 2.2, at the rear NS of the engine, there is a small spade connector - my money is on that having come adrift, rather than anything to worry about.

What's your location? There may be a nearby member who could cast an eye? :y

It has no fuse for this sensor. Check blue sensor wire and if it is ok then i think you need new sensor.

for future reference, if you ground the blue wire (ie connect to earth or zero volts for the electronics bods) the temp gauge should go to fully hot ie full deflection of the gauge.  :y :y :y
