Glad she back home, you can't imagine what her family or her have been through....
Think hanging needs to be brought back for these weirdos....

Do not judge yet - he is a peripheral relative and she hated her current step dad.

Maybe she was hiding as she didn't want to go home.

Lets wait before making judgment please

Do we know that?
However imho something is not right, I would lay money on the Man being someone she knows or a relative. Doubt you could hide a 9 year old for 24 days without hurting her without some cooperation from the child. Only my opinion.
Pleased she is safe though, I feared the worst. :)

They said on the news it was a relative, also still under Police protection, I think she was there willingly, the parents and step parents do need interviewing

I heard on the wireless that she was hidden/ hiding in a divan bed base. We're all glad she's unhurt & home but has she been returned to something she ran from?
I hope not but we'll have to wait & see. :-/

According to the news she's been reunited with her mother but will be kept under a care order for the next three days. It can also be extended if needed.

This evening after work i popped into the local Somerfield for a friday bottle. 2 girls aged about 9 or 10 were at the door. One had her pushbike turned upside down 'cos the back brake had siezed on. They asked me if i had a toolkit. I looked at her bike, & slackened the cable off, so she & her friend could get home. Sadly what was running through my mind at the time was, if i could'nt fix her bike i would'nt want her to try & drag it home, they'd both be at risk. Immingham is a small town & i could've got both bikes in the Mig & made sure the girls got home safely but all the time i was thinking i'll take them home if i have too but i'll have to ask the security guard or another member of the public who'd gathered round to come with me for fear of being accused of something sick. Luckily no need but it's a sad world we live in when an adult is scared to help a child.
I'll be honest, it left a lump in my throat.

I think your are right, and it is a shame that you had to consider asking someone else to go with you. I did someting similar a few years ago with a couple of boys on bikes, I had room in the car so took them home, but not before calling out the local police officer to explain my intentions. He rang the parents to expect me.
Tis a sad world, and much as I do not like to say it, you must watch your back, but I would still step in if needed.

There is much to debate on this subject and it is too late. My youngest is 7. Kids are in no more danger than they ever were, communicatin and publicity are better, in fact kids are possibly safer due to parental awareness. the danger is that parents become over protective and therefore not giving kids the chances to develop street survival skills. imho.
Most kids are abused or abducted by someone that they know well. FACT

ive done a corse on abuse and it can come from anywere or anyone yes . but there is many sorts of abuse that people dont see as abuse , 1 adult to a child ,il slap you .this is abuse .us as adults that will defind and protect youselfs a child will not because they will be told it is worng to talk back .this out side the box is survival dont take shit .but then we all need respct to one another and give the hand to someone that needs it .

Busy but turned out better than expected. A cancelled appointment on tuesday next week has a good knock on effect. paper work wise, leaving me to do the additional work instructed by the court this week. Have holidays to be taken by end of month, no chance and they aremoaning about me carrying them over. Said if not then I will take them, caused panic, 'but you can't you have to do this and that' Holidays carried over. :D
