Title: P1700 gearbox issue...

hello :) i bought the car about a week maybe 2 at the most and noticed that the gearbox didn't know weather to go for 4th or not at 40 or just over and sometimes went in a bit of a jolt... Anyway on the way to work foot down briefly dropping it down to 3rd then stays there for 5 seconds then bangs into 4th and on comes EML lol anyway I've read possible crank sensor and possible speed sensor on gearbox which if my guess from memory is right then isn't it on passenger side where the prop shaft exits gearbox? Thanks.alex
