failed bearing yes also the pins came out of the back plate so the shoes spun in the drum destroying the handbrake ratchet inside. My mate had quoted me 40 to change bearing, which i was going to have done, but now with it needing a new back plate new handbrake ratchet(lever) and pins for the shoes plus the springs for the shoes cos they got chewed i thought would it be cheaper to get another arm complete, so rang vauxplus newport and they quoted me 20 what a bargain so just wondering the procedure to change it as the haynes manual version is a little long winded. i wasnt able to do the bearing myself as i dont have access to a press.
