my daughter keeps asking me to take here shopping, now i dont mind spending the day with here, but i keep making escuses why i cant bring my mv6,so will have to fit two kids into van,the reason is i dont want to mark my theather seats when she puts car seats in the back.

Completely understandable. :y :)
-
Damn right! :)
-
well there are too issues here...put anybody in the back of a van is dangerous ....get a grip....and the only reason is marking leather seat.....use a sheet to cover seats....plus i would put family BEFORE any car...leather seats or not :y
-
...nothing is worth leather damage. Nothing! ;D
-
cant damage it if it is covered can it??????
-
...its not just that, theres the spill risk, and kicking seat backs. Nooo van is much safer! :)
-
Old blanket under the seats and leather is the spill friend!!
-
....in the interest of balance, i think the op should be " taken out and executed...." for transporting kids in a van. :)
...am i bad? Will i have to applogise later? Or perhaps leave the country? ;D
-
you could always use the boot ;D ;D

having kids, and looking after your possessions are not mutually exclusive!
-
No but it can be frustrating enough to bring on a nervous breakdown. ;D
When mine were young I didnt bother having a car worth having an interest in (I had a Sierra for most of that time)and I gave up on the idea of having tools.I kept finding them tangled up in the workings of the lawnmower when cutting the lawn. It transpired that this was due to the fact that my youing son deemed them to be vital weapons of war in his battles between his He Man and Skeletor toys. ::) ;D ;D ;D
May I suggest to the OP that a roofrack may be the best compromise. :y ;D ;D
-
I send my kids on the bus and meat them there ;D
-
I use something similar to jimbob plus got off ebay a clear plastic cover to gover the back of the front seats from ebay for a couple of quid - job done.

oh come on be fair
they not his kids!
my little girl is now four and has gone through a number of car seats as she has grown up and my leather has not been marked after all that time.
but i do look after the leather and i moved the seat from the left to right at regular intervals, also if you do get marks where its been placed a quick warm with a hair dryer[not a heat gun] and out they come.
another tip for you make sure you check the seats after the little darlings have left because if they spill milk and you dont notice it, trust me you will the next day :y
