Title: OOF`s Snow Correspondent Retires.
Post by: Debs. on 04 December 2011, 22:04:12
:o Forecast snow tonight/tomorrow and again, later this week.....heavy in places. ???

.....and for the first time in nearly 10 years: "I couldn`t give a monkeys!" ;D

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! 8)

Those 10 winter-years spent worrying about it, shovelling it, trying to survive in it, and (in the case of last year`s "-20C. inside the house, without any heating" winter); thinking we might actually freeze to death in it! :-[

It`s all behind me (and the doggies) now: so, we`ll enjoy watching the wintry-flakes falling from the centrally heated joy of our house in 'civilisation'.....Shhhhhh, can you hear sleigh-bells? :P

 ......

I drove home through some slush that'd settled on the roads near Wigan. Rest of the way home was clear although there'd been a bad bump on the motorway which shut a lane according to the news, though when I got there, I couldn't see any traffic on it  ??? so avoided it completely!  ;)

I`m going to the land of the cloggers on Saturday; to their model railway exhibition. :y

I remember Wigan-folk being known as "didyanots" when I was a tiddler; "aye, did you not know that!" ;D

Blimey, it even tried to snow here.  Failed though, just patches around on the roads.
