Title: Useless DVLA
Post by: waspy on 16 March 2008, 12:32:45
They design a new reg document & they put DVLA's address on the piece you give to the buyer. Why didn't they use what little brains they have & put the address on the sellers part that you send back to them.
That way, when they drive away in your old car with the buyer's part  you'll still have the address of DVLA.
Fortunately i've the reg document from my Mig.
Useless beep's (censored)  >:( >:( >:( >:(
That's my rant for the day. ;D

You may have a loooong wait, from 8th Jan! Have been chasing DVLA for my Omega's V5, and I bought mine in SEPTEMBER last year (2007!!!) and am STILL waiting.
Contacted the DVLA in Nov last year, 'it's on it's way' was the reply.
Jan, still no V5, so phoned again. 'It's on it's way, sorry, administrative problems' was the reply.
Went to the LOCAL offices on Friday, complained, and was told i'd have to pay £25 to get one!! Told them where to go, and explained I had NEVER received one from SEPT 07, and was promised one twice, (quoting dates of calls) Guy made a call, and quess what? 'it's on it's way'!!!
Yeah.....Sure it is......... >:( >:( >:(

had my new V5 for the new Elite through in under 10 days.

which suggests to me that you guys should pick up the phone and start asking questions.

Got my new V5 in 2 weeks, and a letter to say I was no longer responsible for my old car. Perhaps they are improving....lol :-/

Went to renew the tax on the Westfield online. Thought I'd get in before the new prices. Prices took effect on the 13th. Can't renew tax until 15th day of the preceding month. >:(

Then the web site asked for the reference number and highlighted the section of the form where it appears. Reference number was on the other side of the form! FFS, don't the guys who do the web site talk to the guys who print the forms? >:(
