Booked the MOT for my mig I got on Saturday. Going in on Wednesday @ 1330. Lets see what happens! :-\
-
Purely a guess and stab in the dark, given the mileage of the car:
Front suspension arm bush excess play / deterioration
Front brakes excessive wear / brake imbalance
Something to do with the handbrake
Possibly leak of exhaust gasses / emissions
It might pass though? :D
-
Thanks for brightening up my day James ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It'll defo need new wishbones is my guess! ;D

Evening all!! ;D ;D ;D
No, I've not been nicked yet but not good news either :(
The car failed on emissions. It appears that the exhaust was not welded very well and is blowing. Faulty lambda on passenger side and looks like some welding has taken place where it screws in behind the cat and is also blowing! >:(
Oh, and the centre box is catching the propshaft!!
So, parts list for Father Christmas, with the lottery ticket:
Lambda sensor
Exhaust
Passenger side cat
Other than that, it's ok :-\
Cheers Iain, really appreciated this :y
-
Thats not a lot tho for a older car! easy enough :y
-
True, but not when it was supposed to have passed a MOT perfectly 3 weeks ago!
-
maybe the prev owner will do the right thing and help out with the parts costs? Personaly I would of sent the car straight back at his expense til moted
